Pre-Order FAQs

Does it cost more to pre-order vs buying from the online store?
No! A piece of the same size and design would be exactly the same price in the store as if you pre-ordered it.

What happened to your deposit system?
I changed the pre-order deposit system as a lot of people were confused about how it worked. If you would rather pay an initial deposit and pay the rest later, please contact me and I can arrange this.

Why does it take so long?
I allow up to 8 weeks to make an order. In order to save energy and look after my kiln, I always build up enough work to fill my kiln before firing it. It can take a few weeks to make this much work, and at least a week for each piece to dry out. Please note that order times DO NOT include delvery time. Check the bottom of the pre-order page to see delivery estimates for your area.

What if I can't see what I want on the pre-order page?
If you have seen me make some thing before and it's not on the pre-order options, that's probably just because I've not had time to upload it! I'm usually very happy to take an order for something I've made previously.
If it is not something you've seen me make, you can speak to me about commissioning a piece. See here for more information about personal commissions. I love a new challenge!

Do I need to do anything after I've ordered?
In most cases, I will only be in contact once your piece is finished. If you have given me any personal requests or it is a more complicated piece, I will contact you during the making process to give you updates and check that you are happy with how the piece is looking. If you would like regular updates, please let me know! Make sure to check your spam if you're expecting to hear from me!
